The girls softball team exceeded their expectations going into this season. They minimized the amount of errors they had during the season and increased their batting average. “My teammates and how well we played together exceeded my expectations even though we had all hoped for a more successful season,” senior Ali Demas said. The girls record has been consistent over the years but that didn’t stop the girls from giving their all on the field. “Our season was decent this year. While our record isn’t that good, it doesn’t reflect how hard we played every game,” Demas said.

The girls will finish out their season with playing Lawrence Central in the first round of the sectional conference. “I expect a close first game of sectionals. We drew LC so it should also be a pretty intense game against our rivals,” senior Alison Thomas. Demas hopes that her and her teammates play their hardest and leaves it all out on the field to help them win.
