The National Eating Disorder Association has created a website that only helps those who have suffered with eating disorders, but also those who have ever had body image issues. These issues range from helping overcome self consciousness about oneself to identifying how media is connected with how we see ourselves.

Berkeley University has created a list of ten ways to increase positive body image that is accessible on their website. The list is in a pdf form, which makes it possible to print and utilize more often. The ten ways include simple fixes like taking a bubble bath to more complex solutions like keeping a list with you of things you like about yourself.

On Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s website they have included a high schooler’s advice, which focuses on six main ways to improve positive body image. Those main points include confidence, proper exercise and nutrition, knowledge about self image, steps to better self image, and personal opinion.

The Office of Women’s Health provides helpful tips that are specific to what happens when you look into a mirror. For example, the website asks what you initially see when you look into the mirror and then later helps by teaching how to love what is being seen. Even though the site is directed towards women, this information is beneficial to anyone who ever looks into a mirror and isn’t happy with what they see.
