Three things you should know for Homecoming Week 2017
From the themes during the week the game, Homecoming Week can be a lot to handle. Here are three things to know as Homecoming Week kicks off.
Eight homecoming king and queen candidates: Up from the usual five candidates for king and queen, due to technical difficulties with voting, students have the opportunity to vote for one Girl (Grace Dean, Sa’mariah Harding, Nia Jameson, Terrianna Lyles, Ashley Major Elyse Moser, Jada Webster or Destiny Williams) and one Boy (Walker Albright, Dion Grundy, Maalik Houston, Derin McCulley, Jack Paddock, Cole Sherman, Jordan St Clair or Caleb Vaughn)
Homecoming and College Go Week paired together: This year will feature two important weeks as LN uses Sept. 25-29 to promote homecoming festivities and preparation for future college plans. Several themes throughout the week will be geared towards college and career futures (College Hat Day, College Sweatshirt Day and Future You) to promote both aspects of the week
Homecoming theme and game: This year’s homecoming theme is Throwback to the 90’s and the theme for the game will be decades where students find throwback outfits for the football game. LN (2-4, 0-4) will host Warren Central (3-3, 3-2) for homecoming this year. The Wildcats look to bounce back after a 41-8 loss at the hand of Ben Davis last week. Warren Central comes in after rolling over Pike.
