Officers chosen for Future Business Leaders of America

A group of students from both LN and LC were installed as Future Business Leader of America (FBLA) officers. Future Business Leaders of America is the biggest student business organization in the country.. The officer installation took place at McKenzie Career Center on October 29th, 2025. They were chosen specifically by entrepreneurship teacher Sonia Walker after interviews and tryouts with a multitude of other students. They were selected to be the student leadership for McKenzie’s chapter during the 25-26 school year.

Environmental science students study rocks, minerals
Marcus Wilson's forensics class took part in a mock crime scene investigation, where they are set to discover & find evidence within the crime scene. In this case the crime scene took place at a wedding. Crime investigation simulations allow students to get realistic hands-on experience with real crime investigation techniques, as well as critical thinking skills while facing a lifelike crime scene situation.

BSU fashion show celebrates style, culture
On Friday, Feb. 13, during lunch in the Lawrence North cafeteria, students donated $3 to the Duolingo Club for the chance to pie a teacher of their choice in the face. Students and teachers participated in the pie in the face event, including Donny Mimms, Gustavo Vega, Kameron McBride, Marcus Wilson, Jason Floyd, Wesley Knott, Alex Kocher, and Matthew Deinlein. The event was designed to build school spirit by creating a fun, lighthearted atmosphere between students and teachers, while also providing an entertaining incentive that encouraged donations.

Key Club members helped coordinate a blood drive on Thursday, Feb. 12, providing students and staff the opportunity to donate blood and make a meaningful impact in the community.
