Q&A with Foreign Exchange students: Alice Hudson
Alice Hudson – Australia
Why did you decide to become a foreign exchange student?
I just kind of wanted to take a break and like I really wanted to come to an English speaking country because I’m bad at learning other languages.
Has this been like what you expected? What did you expect?
I kind of thought it would be more cliquey. Like there aren’t groups because you don’t know everybody.
What is different from your home country?
The way people speak is a lot more different here. Everything is a lot more casual. People aren’t as formal in the way they talk or dress. Schools are also a lot smaller.
Was is hard to make the transition from your home country to America?
No.
What do you think of the fact that LN has a strong exchange student program?
It’s kinda good. I think it’s cool because people know who you are. People here expect a lot of foreign exchange students and get hyped about it.
