Q & A with Bonnie Akers, registrar, who helps run graduation.
LN seniors will graduate on Wednesday, June 5 at 7 p.m. But before they officially walk across the stage that night, they have a required practice in the morning.
When do seniors have to be there for practice?
They should be there at 8:30 a.m. Practice begins promptly at 9 a.m.
Where is it?
The fairgrounds. Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
What do seniors have to have done?
They have to meet all the graduation requirements and not be in trouble.
What can seniors expect when they are there?
They’ll have Mr. Crousore going around asking to pronounce their name. They will have empty seats, which they will shuffle and fill. The whole practice takes an hour and a half. They learn how to walk up on stage.
What else do students need to be ready for when it comes to the ceremony?
They should be ready to be sitting and standing for a long period of time and be aware of the large crowd.
