Every year around Christmas, a majority of people love to eat sweet treats. What do students prefer? Is it sugar cookies? Or deep fried Oreos? Or maybe even the casual chocolate chip cookies?
Research shows that chocolate chip cookies are America’s favorite cookie. According to thecravory.com, about 53% of American adults prefer chocolate chip cookies over any other variety. It was also said that 93% of all American households enjoy chocolate chip cookies, and it’s the most popular in the U.S. and around the world according to thecravory.com
Freshman Monshun Sales said he prefers sugar cookies over deep fried Oreos and chocolate cookies.
“I just love sugar and the cookie itself is very good and savoring,” he said.
Sophomore Aonesti Steen stated she prefers deep fried Oreos.
“I like the pancake batter they dip the oreo in and the powdered sugar they add on after it’s deep fried,” she said.
Junior Alasha Hardaway stated that she prefers chocolate chip cookies too.
“I like them better and they have that sweet taste that I enjoy so much. I also like the chocolate chips that are in the cookie. I also like cookies when they’re warm and dipped in milk,” she said.
Another student, senior Elizabeth Osorio, stated she prefers chocolate chip cookies instead of sugar cookies and deep fried Oreos. The reason behind her preference is, “I just prefer it way better than the others,” Osorio said.
It looks like chocolate chip cookies win this debate. With that being said, what Christmas treat(s) will you have this year?
